AusPost upgrades
Microcraft is currently producing eLearning to
cover the Post hardware/software upgrades of its retail networks. The upgrade will
occur in 3 phases and Microcraft has completed the training for Phase 1. Microcraft
is also developing the training for the new Identity Services Systems.

Country Fire
Authority
Microcraft is currently re-developing
the Household Bushfire Self-Assessment Tool. The tool allows you to assess
the defendability of your property and make a decision about actively defending
or leaving your property when bushfire threatens.

Moodle for MidCoast
MidCoast Water has asked Microcraft to
provide a customised Moodle system to deliver their Contractor Induction and Power Line
Safety accreditations. Microcraft added specific features to Moodle such as email
confirmation or rejection of course enrolments, history of issuing cards and a student
lock-out on failure. MidCoast Water will be adding other modules in the near
future.
New additions
to
AUTHOR™
14
A number of new features were
incorporated into AUTHOR™ 14.
These include combo boxes, an action for drawing graphics such as circles and
lines and more advanced features such as a Data collection for lookup tables and
the ability to place variables as the default value for input actions. One
use is the ability to store a user's input for such things as questionnaires, so
they'll be available during the next session.

Talking Performance
Microcraft has completed another module for State
Services managers dealing with performance management. The module contains extensive
video scenarios. The lesson will be distributed to managers in the public sector
workforce.

Conflict of Interest
Microcraft has developed a module for State
Services advising employees on matters concerning Conflict of Interest. Commissioner
for Public Service Standards Greg Vines has recorded a video introduction at Microcraft's
Multimedia Studios which will feature in the upcoming lesson. The lesson will be
distributed to 250,000 members of the public sector workforce.

Video Shoot
William McInnes features in the video introduction for the the new Crisis Support Services
eLearning for health professionals in rural and remote areas.
The well known Australian actor/writer is ambassador for Crisis Support Services Men's Line Australia. The video was recently filmed at Microcraft's Multimedia Studios.

Australia Post
Microcraft is commencing development of Stage Three in Australia Post's Base
Level Training. The new lessons will include Financial Services, Mail Services and
Selling. These lessons, among others, comprise an update of existing Australia Post
training, entailing varying levels of revision, alongside implementation of new material.

Crisis Support Services
Microcraft has developed a new module for Crisis Support Services to aid health
professionals in dealing with men at risk of suicide in rural and remote areas. The
lesson is the fourth in the Men at Risk series developed by Microcraft for
CSS. Past lessons in the series provide training for telephone counsellors, face to
face counsellors and general practitioners. 19,000 copies of the training CD will be
distributed to Allied Health Professionals across Australia.
MidCoast Water
Another project is underway for MidCoast Water,
providing training for staff working near overhead power lines. Council staff have
received AUTHOR training allowing them to develop lessons independently in addition to
modules developed by Microcraft.
The lesson will be distributed via CD to MidCoast Water's geographically dispersed workforce of over 300 contractors.
MidCoast
Water
Development of a lesson for MidCoast Water's Contractor induction has
recently been completed by Microcraft. The module is accessible by Web,
intranet and CD-ROM and sends results data to MidCoast Water's legacy training
system. The training has been extremely well received by contractors,
regulators and Council's insurers.
Australia Post
Microcraft has completed a new series of module for Australia Post covering Identity
and Verification services. Australia Post act as agents for DFAT (Department of
Foreign Affairs and Trade), banks, and government departments such as Centrelink.
These trust services require specialist training in order for Australia Post staff to
conduct interviews to establish identity and verification on behalf of agencies.
High Definition Video
All videos for current and future AUTHOR lessons filmed by Microcraft are produced in
high-definition widescreen format.
New Sound Booth
A new sound booth has recently been constructed for Microcraft's
Multimedia Studios offering higher quality voice-over recording. The
insulated booth is designed to accommodate the voice-over artist and equipment, while
eliminating background noise. Microcraft can now offer increased quality audio
featuring Microcraft's own voice-over artists, or another artist as
specified by the client.
Monash University
Microcraft has completed an update of
Monash University's Ionizing Radiation lesson. The lesson consists of eight
modules including "Radioactive Decay" and "Health Effects and Relative
Risks".
Provider of Choice to Australia Post
Australia Post has again selected AUTHOR as its eLearning platform of choice for delivery of its Base
Level Training. Microcraft is currently commissioned to complete the upgrade
of Australia Posts' 'Retail Essentials' modules. The upgrade includes enhancement
of the modules' appearance and functionality with a review of the information content.
Australia Post Passports
Microcraft has completed the new Passport
Application Procedures training modules for Australia Post. The modules feature
video simulations and an accreditation module. Australia Post chose Microcraft
to redesign and integrate their Passport Training into current online
eLearning.
MensLine Suicide Risk Assessment
Following our successful module on Suicide Risk
Assessment for telephone counsellors, we have completed a new module aimed at face to face
counselling of men at risk of Suicide. The module was launched by Senator Kay
Patterson, the Federal Minister for Family and Community Services in Canberra.
Completing SCAA
The eLearning course for the Surface Coatings
Association of Australia has been completed. The course is currently delivered as a
university course in 52 3 hour lectures by RMIT.
Suicide Risk Assessment
Microcraft has completed eLearning for Crisis
Support Services for telephone counsellors in Suicide Risk Assessment.
Application Software Training
Microcraft specialises in developing training for
in-house applications or custom training for off-the-shelf software. Using AUTHOR we can
create interactive simulations of your software that provides common scenarios,
recommended procedures and full interaction. We have developed such software
training for the National Australia Bank and Australia Post.
